How SRT report numbers are calculated

Answer values

Not at all = 0 points. A bit true = 1 point. Feels True = 2 points.

Each domain has four questions. Adding their answer values gives a score from 0 to 8. Reflection questions R1 and R2 are reported separately and are excluded from domain scores and change counts.

  • Feelings: 8 maximum points.
  • Thoughts: 8 maximum points.
  • Body: 8 maximum points.
  • Behaviour: 8 maximum points.
  • Daily Life: 8 maximum points.

Changes against weeks

The student trend chart counts each A bit true or Feels True answer as one reported change. Not at all contributes zero. Each domain therefore has 0–4 changes in a week.

The horizontal axis shows weeks. The vertical axis shows the number of changes. Each week has a group of bars, with one colour for each domain.

Four A bit true answers mean 4 changes and 4 score points. Four Feels True answers also mean 4 changes, but 8 score points. Dividing the score by two does not give the number of changes.

Change counts require the original answers. Missing answers are shown as missing data, not zero changes.

Domain categories

Feelings, Thoughts, Body, and Behaviour: 0–2 points = Doing OK; 3–4 = Take Action; 5–8 = Seek Support.

Daily Life: 0–2 points = Doing OK; 3–8 = Seek Support.

Overall student result

Seek Support: any domain scores 5–8, Daily Life scores at least 3, or three or four other domains each score 3–4.

Take Action: one or two domains other than Daily Life score 3–4, with no Seek Support condition.

Doing OK: all domains score 0–2.

These categories use score points and the rules above, not change counts or an average of the domain percentages.

Aggregate report percentages

Category percentage = included results in the category / total included results × 100. Domain distributions use domain categories; overall distributions use the overall student result.

Illustrative example: 12 Doing OK, 5 Take Action, and 3 Seek Support results out of 20 give 60%, 25%, and 15%. These are example figures, not live records.

Percentages depend on the selected period and included records. A learner can submit separate check-ins in different weeks. Rounded percentages may total 99% or 101%.

School and district follow-up statuses also consider persistence and reporting coverage. They are distinct from an individual result category.
